About Diagnosis

Not all cases are the same, and people have different types of infection, different stages of gum disease, and bone loss. We treat them completely and work also with the physician if we suspect diabetes. Other offices extract more teeth, but Dr. Marshall tries to save as many teeth as it's possible!

The only way that Dr. Marshall, who is a very well known periodontist in New York, can tell you which type of case you have, is by looking at your X-Rays, measuring the periodontal pockets in the gums, and examining your bite and tooth looseness. At that periodontal examination and consultation, he can explain what he can accomplish for you and what the cost will be.

Since the X-Rays and exam do not usually cost you if you have insurance coverage (check your insurance), it is to your benefit to come in and have this examination and discussion with Dr. Howard Marshall, and really find out what you need. Then you make the decision if you would like him to take care of you. Dr. Marshall is amazing with how many questionable teeth he has saved for people. You are lucky to find him and get his treatment!

To determine the cost of the procedure, the doctor needs to examine your mouth, the X-Rays, the gums, loose teeth, and the bite before he can give his fee.

These are some of the things we will need to know about you:
